Welcome
The Catholic Police Guild is a national organisation. Membership is open to all Catholic Police Officers & Staff from Police Forces operating within England and Wales.
Throughout the year there are opportunities for members to come together in various contexts including:
- Annual Requiem Mass for deceased police officers and staff
- Annual Retreat
- Mass at Westminster Cathedral to mark the foundation of the Guild on the Feast of Corpus Christi 1914 (usually the Thursday before the Feast that is now celebrated on a Sunday)
- Mass to mark the Feast of St Michael (29 September), the patron saint of the Guild, held on suitable day, followed by a social gathering.
Guild members have a strong association with Westminster Cathedral. Members often help with stewarding duties throughout the year.
There are bi-annual pilgrimages to various important holy places, including Rome, the Holy Land, Fatima, Santiago de Compostella and Poland.
Every October Guild members carry the statue of Our Lady in procession from Westminster Cathedral to Brompton Oratory on behalf of the Rosary Crusade of Reparation.
In addition, there are meetings held centrally and locally, and other social activities to enable members to meet together during the year.
The Guild operates with the approval and spiritual support of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference for England and Wales.
